This is a guide that shows you the best way to scale properly transferred 480i home video files to 4K, using completely free Windows software. It might work for other resolutions and sources, but the focus of this video is 480i home movies.
I’ll update this post once Simon releases the update to Brovicon that includes the automatic aspect creation. Normally I’d never release a video without waiting for all the features to be ready, but I’ve been done for over six months and there’s a TON of info here I really wanted to share with everyone. Hopefully you’ll all understand, be patient with Simon and wait until that release to start scaling your videos. Or if you’re handy with video editing software (or were going to edit after scaling anyway), just follow the trick I showed in that section about doing it in post. Or if you’re a super-nerd (I’m jealous if you are!), take a look at Simon’s Github and maybe add the correction for him!?!?!? Thanks for understanding!
